1. On 8th. January,2012,EGM of the Society was held and the members passed a resolution authorising the president to apply for the extension of the "Use of Gaming proceeds" for five more years in order to purchase a piece of land within the city limit and build the "Vedanta Center".
2. On 15th. January,2012, SUNDAY, VSC will celebrate the birth tithi of Swami Vivekananda at the center from 2PM to 4PM. I am happy to announce that Dr. Alok Chatterji, Retired professor of Economics,Kolkata, will talk on " Swami Vivekananda and his view on MAN-MAKING" followed by open forum on this topic. All are welcome to participate in this program.
3. On 3rd. March, 2012,SATURDAY,the Society will celebrate the birth tithi of Shri Ramakrishna and Revered Swami Kripamayanandaji of Toronto has kindly accepted our invitation to conduct this ceremony. All are welcome to participate.
The door of the VEDANTA CENTER will open at 10AM and the program will begin from 10-30AM.Please bring vegetarian food [ NO onion,garlic,egg,fish and meat product] for the offering to Thakur.Please contact Ms. Dharshini [403-3831305] or Rupak Datta[403-6174177] regarding the vegetarian food. Anirban & Paromita[ 403-264-2730 ] will host Swamiji.

4. It is a great pleasure to inform you that Revered Swami Bhaskaranandaji has kindly accepted our invitation to visit Calgary Vedanta Society from APRIL 11th to APRIL 16th,2012. On April 15, 2012,SUNDAY,2PM to 4PM, Revered Swami Bhaskaranandaji will conduct the Interfaith dialogue meeting. All are welcome to this program.
