                     1.   July 12th. 2014 ,Saturday, is the Full Moon day of the month ASADHA and this is the birth day of Veda Vyasa who  divided the VEDA into four vedas Rig,Sama,Yajus and Atharva. Moreover Vyasa was the author of Mahabharata,18 Puranas & Brahma Sutra.
                     2. On this Asadha full moon day, in the 6th. century B.C. ,Lord Buddha gave his sermon to his five former companions at SARNATH ,in the vicinity of Varanasi[India] & also formed the SANGHA..
                       3. This is the beginning of the rainy Seasons in India, which lasts three months and is the best time for farmers.
                            4. The Hindu Spiritual Gurus are revered on this day by remembering their life and teachings.
              On behalf of the Vedanta Society of Calgary, all of you are welcome to participate in Meditation, singing etc.,on this forthcoming full moon day SATURDAY,12th. July ,2014, at 3PM to 5Pm { VEDANTA CENTER,#405,4655-54th.Av,Calgary,AB T3Z3Z4].

                               The Annual General Body [AGM] of the Vedanta Society of Calgary will be held on   SUNDAY ,7th. September,2014 ,at 3PM to 5PM [ VEDANTA CENTER,#405,4655-54th.Av,Calgary,AB T3Z3Z4].
